Cool, Scarrface and I had planned to have a [EoM] server by the end of this month. I'll be in Vancouver this weekend to discuss it.
This will be an experience as Scarr and I have never put one together.
2 servers are better than 1, and an opportunity to shair the up's and downs of building them.

I have set up over 10 different servers and have experience in the linux and win32 systems. Looking forward to building and setting up a quake2 server.

Ok- got together all ofthe hardware to put together a server box. Not sure what OS I want to use. Leaning towards Linux (freebsd) seem to run Q2 very well and without too many problems. here is a partial listing of hardware.
Asus p4s333-vm motherboard
1gb sdram
800 FSB
DSL Connection 6mb down/400+ upload
R1ch Q2 server
Q2admin 1.17.45 ( with R1CH fixes and optimations)
Server will be open to all and admin rights will be distrubuted to members.
Taking name sugestions, map rotation sugestions, configuration settings, and special requests by our clan mates.
Thinking that not all or every member should have admin rights would like to take sugestion as to who will take this responsiblity, maybe 3 or 4 from EoM and 3 or 4 from ^K][L^ since they are our sister clan..
note: might take me few weeks to setup as I have an updated beta to finish and test.

ok box is built. found time last night between beta builds. will find time to install and configure it tonight after I get home from my wife's dinner party

Box is built and OSD is installed have to install the q2 and subsequient files and I think that early next week I will give it a go
