Ok Pro, now that I have downloaded the demo and the patch i can play at dm and railz and any other server except vanilla. Because I don't have the game maps. Is it a pak file I need or what? But when I connect to Vanilla it doesn't let me download the maps.

In "multiplayer/player setup/download options", make sure everything is set to YES except for "player models/sounds". Make sure that is saved to your config before trying to connect to vanilla. If that doesn't allow you to download, then just try downloading all the maps. It's 4 files you'll have to download, and it'll take a good bit of time to do it, but it'll save you from having to download most maps in the future. You'll be able to jump right in and play without having to wait for the download. |
