Windows Vista WLAN Autoconfig Vista wireless problems - Vista Forums said:
This stupid utility creates a massive lag spike every 20-60 seconds that makes it impossible to play any online games. Users tend to either uninstall vista or quit gaming on their PC entirely.MORE HERE www.wlanbook.com/disable-windows-vista-wireless-zero-configuration/grrrrrrrr

And yet you used the SAME computer before with a wired connection and had no lag? Correct This is a " VISTA "+"WIRELESS" combination issue. The information @ the link in the previous post says, Xp does not have this issue. I have a long enough CAT5 cable to get to the main modem without any install problems. Just gotta knock 1 little discrete hole in the wall. As long as the owner of the property says it's ok.

There is an improvement with the RED lag spikes as shown in the screenies below. Now there are ping spikes where the ping climbs up to 600 + at times. If you look at the game time , and the ping spikes it gives an idea of the frequency. Hopefully over more time this issue will improve too. It is interesting to note that others are experiencing similar issues. I am not blaming TS for these issues. I believe it is several minor issues combined, including increased net traffic. EDIT: Still on wireless
