Hi, I'm back into Quake 2..for the.....what is it 30th time now since it came out...and I'm on a Wireless Wide Area Network...I have a close to 1 second lag in game but I have no lag on Counter Strike Source....or Anarchy Online so Im looking at 2 possibilities: 1. Rates 2. Net Code I connect @ 7.2 Mbps and my downloads hit around 150KBps. Wondering what rates I should use. If its the netcode theres nothing I can do and Ill have to keep prefiring which I dont entirely mind. Also, I have a 6$ optical mouse and I know theres 2 ways to go on this...High Sensitivity and get used to it or Medium Sensitivity and move it faster...any suggestions would be very appreciated I've also already made an autoexec file to trim some performance out of the game. If theres anything else anyone thinks I should do without going into changing paks so my enemies look white (unless that isnt considered a bad thing) or overclocking which I wont be risking, please let em know, thank you Also....is there anyway to make it so that I can still hear my music from Windows Media Player while playing ?

Fixed the lag issue, although incoherent, it was my video card, got an Ati Radeon 9250 256mb yesterday and fixed the problem (PCI Slot, no X) As far as the mouse thing, sticking to a high sensitivity setting and geting used to it, requires more keyboard play but getting better And sorry I missed the Friday night workout, hadnt sleept.
