Peter,
Look in your Q2 folder (MAIN FOLDER) for a program file "R1Q2Updater.exe"

If you dont find it, then DL it from the site.

It will update thru a dos window which you can exit out of with the "ENTER" button. If it has no update it will tell you is up to date, otherwise it will DL the latest version and then ya just punch "ENTER". I usually do a reboot if there is an update available, as I do when installing or updating any programs to lock her in.

All ya gotta do is run it quick every few days and way lay going to the site for an update.
Saves time bro.

BTW if ya dont know > If ya use Game Spy ya got to tell it to use that exe. or it will continue to use the original Q2 exe. Just in case someone doesn't know.

Yes, I have the " Update Thingy " as "V" man calls it.

GS is a Spyware pig, never use it, unless I am looking for a specific OR new server.

I have also noticed that THIS R1Q2 update may have a BUG, as Q2 has KRASHED a couple times since I updated.

Yeah my tools found a bug in GS "Adware GameSpyArcade"
I cleaned it and honestly donno where it came from. No prob since. I use GS3D for 5 yrs now. The Arcade is the program full of BS.

And yes the updater did bug out on the last 1 or 2 versions. Before the Nov update >> Since then I dont get the "You were kikt for modified client BS" anymore.
But was just tryin to help.
